ONE NIGHT ONLY! Celebrate four decades of Marvin Hamlisch’s magnificent memories. Join Tony Award winner Donna McKechnie, Tony® Award nominee Jodi Benson, and Phantom of the Opera’s Doug LaBrecque as they pay tribute to the wonderful talents of one of the greatest contributors to music over the last century, Marvin Hamlisch. As a composer, Hamlisch won virtually every major award: three Oscars, four Grammys, four Emmys, a Tony, and three Golden Globes (not to mention…the Pulitzer Prize!). On Broadway, he wrote the music for long-running shows A Chorus LineThey’re Playing Our SongSweet Smell of Success, SmileThe Goodbye Girl and Imaginary Friends. His more than 40 motion picture scores include his Oscar®-winning score and song for The Way We Were and his adaptation of Scott Joplin’s music for The Sting. And who can forget Marvin’s many concerts as San Diego Symphony’s Principal Pops Conductor? This memorable concert will feature music from a career truly dedicated to the power of timeless music.
